WEST PARIS – Murrill Blazier, 72, of Woodstock, died Thursday, July 31, at the Ledgeview Living Center.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1935, the son of the late Norman and Kathryn Blazier of Iron Mountain, Mich. He graduated from Channing High School in Channing, Mich., and worked in the woods until he entered the Marine Corps in 1956, where he served until being honorably discharged in 1959.
He then worked as a truck driver and moved to Maine, in 1976, where he met and married his wife, Elizabeth in 1978. He was employed as a truck driver for Merrill Transport and Americana Transport, before his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years; three stepsons, Lawrence Goff of Ft. Fairfield, James Goff of Saco and William Goff of Rumford; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Karen Hughes of Crystal Falls, Mich., and Lillian Perron of Iron Mountain, Mich.; two brothers, Harold of Bellaire, Mich., and Sam of Crystal Falls, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
