LEWISTON – Jeannette M. Laliberte, 85, of Stevens Street, Lewiston, died at Russell Park Manor on Thursday, July 31.
She was born in Lewiston on March 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Valere and Anna (Thibeault) Doyon. She attended local schools graduating from Lewiston High School and continuing her education at Bliss College for two years.
On Aug. 21, 1943, she married the love of her life, Roland Laliberte at Holy Cross Church. She spent many years as a homemaker raising their sons Paul and Robert. She was a very active member of the Holy Cross Parish serving as a lectern and eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the choir, prayer group and the Ladies of Saint Anne. She enjoyed playing the piano as well as the auto harp and loved to knit, crochet and make ceramics.
She is survived by her husband, Roland, of nearly 65 years; sons, Paul and wife, Anne, of Cape Elizabeth and Robert and wife, Sharon, of New Jersey; grandchildren, Peter, Beth and Chad Laliberte; and great-grandchildren, Colette, Cleo, and Nicolas Laliberte and Madeleine Reynolds.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Bertrand, Robert and Lucien Doyon.
