FARMINGTON – Richard A. Frey of Industry, formerly of the Augusta area, a local magician who performed under the name of “Richard Bowie,” passed away suddenly on Friday, July 25, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 13, 1952, in Kansas City, Mo., a son of Joseph C. and Sue F. (Whitacre) Frey. His life-long dream as a teenager was to live and work in Maine. He was a cook at the Irving Big Stop on Routes 2 and 4, Farmington.

He leaves behind his mother, Sue Whitacre; two brothers; and a sister.
