As a result of the downturn in the economy and the rapidly escalating cost of producing and distributing the Sun Journal, the Sunday paper will be five sections instead of six beginning today.

All of the locally reported features that normally appear in the “b” section and “Living” section will be consolidated in one section called “b-plus.” The local events calendars which previously appeared on Thursdays and Sundays will now appear each Friday.

The move is an effort to hold down costs without affecting the local news content of the Sun Journal, and to prevent passing cost increases along to our customers.
