LISBON – An Auburn man escaped with only minor injury in a single-car crash at the intersection of Route 9, Swamp Road and Plummer Mill Road late on Sunday night.
According to the investigating officer, Deputy Sheriff Jon Guay, Richard Paradis, 25, was driving in a westerly direction on Route 9 ascending a hill and sharp curve where the three roads intersect.
Being unfamiliar with the “dangerous curve” he drove straight ahead onto Plummer Mill Road, lost control of his car, went off to the left and rolled over, Deputy Guay said.
Paradis complained of wrist pain and was treated at the scene by Durham Fire and Rescue personnel.
His 1993 Ford Escort was demolished in the 9:19 p.m. crash
