Mark and Sheena Peillet, above, of Music Reflections disc jockey service will provide music from the ’50s and ’60s for the third annual Taber’s Flashback Sock Hop Saturday, Aug. 9. The fundraiser for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will run from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the parking lot at Taber’s Lakeside Stand, 473 Lake Shore Drive in Auburn. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be sold for $1 from 7 to 9 p.m. while supplies last; and donations will be accepted for the humane society. Attendees are urged to dress up in oldies attire and to take part in a twist contest. Bring a lawn chair. No alcoholic beverages allowed. Rain date is Saturday, Aug. 16.
