LEWISTON – For those who would like to get a closer look at some of the landmarks in Lewiston’s Mill District and learn more about them, Museum L-A is offering a guided historical walking tour for all ages from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.

Led by Museum L-A board member and Senior College instructor Alan Elze, the tour will begin at the museum in the Bates Mill for a look at its new exhibit, “Weaving a World: Lewiston’s Millworkers, 1920-2008,” then it will go on to other nearby mills, bridges over the canals, parts of “Little Canada,” and wind up at Maine Heritage Weavers in the Hill Mill.

Cost is $8 a person.

Call the museum at 333-3881 before Friday, Aug. 8, to reserve a spot; space is limited.
