GREENE – The annual Children’s Day program will feature The Great Stephan at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. and admission is free. The Sawyer Memorial is located at 371 Sawyer Road.

The Great Stephan (Steve Cornish), who resides in Lewiston, has been performing as a magician for more than 10 years. Not only does he perform for the public, he is a Sunday school teacher at the Vinyard in Lewiston.

Cornish is a member and former vice president of the Society of American Magicians in Portland.

His programs can include anything from escapes, comedy magic, dove and rabbit acts. to sleight of hand. Cornish uses his programs to present the topic of a client’s choice.
