• A car driven by Richard J. Doyle, 68, of Lewiston, backed into a car driven by Jovan J. Calhoun, 24, of Lewiston, while Calhoun was stopped in traffic at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday on Walnut Street. Damage to the 1995 Honda, driven by Calhoun and owned by Ann H. Boucher, of New Gloucester, and to Doyle’s 2006 Chevrolet was estimated at $1,500 each.

• Debra Corey, 35, of 16 Kilsyth St., Auburn, arrested by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department on an assault charge, 5 p.m. Wednesday at that address.
