LEWISTON – Gloria Ruth Wing, 68, of Farmington, died Monday, Aug. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born Dec. 27, 1939, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Irwin and Mary Goodman.

She worked for Work First from the mid-1980s to the present. She loved her job at Work First and the friends she had there.

She enjoyed reading newspapers every day, the local social events, including the seasonal festivals and open houses, and she especially enjoyed the Farmington Fair. She loved her cat, Spanky.

Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Karen Dolan and Sharon Wing, both of Wilton; three granddaughters, Zoey, Alexis and Summer; three grandsons, James, Jason and Ethan; eight sisters and two adoptive sisters; a brother; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a son, Charles, an adoptive sister, Evelyn Hurtado, her parents and an adoptive mother, Gladys Pease.
