She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston will feature Phillips Saylor Wisor as Stripmall Ballads of Washington, D.C., at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8. He will play songs from his first solo album, “13 Songs.” A Washington, D.C., critic described the CD as “a kind of punk bluegrass, with Wisor’s crisscrossing boundaries between Guthrie-esque folk singing, beatnik poetry and country hell fire preaching.” There is no cover. Guthries is at 115 Middle St. For more information, call 376-3344 or visit myspace.com/guthriesplace.
