DURHAM – Nomination papers will be available beginning Tuesday for a special municipal election to be held Sept. 8 to fill the unexpired term of Selectman and assessor Timothy Asselyn, who resigned on April 29.

The term will run through town meeting 2010.

The deadline to file the papers is 4:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Timeframes and polling hours for the election have been shortened as allowed by Maine statute.
