LEWISTON – The Central Maine Medical Center Rotating Art Gallery is hosting a mother-daughter photo exhibit and the work of Jim Walker during August.

Photographers Linda Angelides of Sabattus and daughter, Jessica Longchamps of Lewiston, have combined their work for the exhibit. The duo photograph the beauty of nature in Maine.

Jim Walker was born and raised in Granite City, Ill. After 20 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Army and has lived and traveled in the U.S., Europe and the Mid East. Photos include travel, nature, birds, seascapes and landscapes.

He has photographed special events, including the Bushes, and was chosen photographer of the week for Nov. 27 to Dec. 3, 2006, by the stock photo Web site, fotoLibra.com.

The gallery is sponsored by the Woman’s Hospital Association in its effort to do fundraising projects throughout the year. For more information about the WHA, call the hospital gift shop at 795-2295. To learn more about the monthly art exhibits, call Kathleen Cormier at 346-3462.
