SUMNER – A story in Wednesday’s Oxford Hills edition concerning discussion of the Fields Hill Cemetery requires greater detail. The cemetery is not a designated ancient burial ground but, because the cemetery was established before 1880, it technically “can be classified as an ancient burying ground,” according to Connie Cushing. Cushing, who was quoted in the story, said it is possible the site may have been a family cemetery.
