POLAND – The Poland Spring Preservation Society will present Mom’s Home Cookin’ at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, as parts of its 2008 Summer Concert Series.

Making up Mom’s Home Cookin’ are Dale Robin Lockman on vocals, guitar, banjo, Appalachian dulcimer and spoons; and Monica Palmes Grabin on vocals, guitar, banjo, autoharp, thumb piano and various percussive gadgets.

The duo’s repertoire ranges from old-time bluegrass to folk songs of the 1960s; from classic country gems to Victorian parlor songs; from a country blues tune from the 1920s to contemporary treasures by little-known songwriters.

Their informal, humorous and personal style is down-home and uplifting.
