Many tenants from the Auburn Housing Authority use Citylinks and Western Maine Transportation services. Their bus services are convenient, reliable and affordable means of transportation for many people living on fixed incomes.
With high gasoline prices, along with the high cost of living, we have or are now thinking of giving up our cars. We are very happy to have a public bus route that can still get us where we need to go. That helps us from being homebound. We need the services more than ever.
We are very grateful that both means of transportation have lifts to accommodate people who need an easy and safe way to get on and off the bus.
We use their services for so many reasons. The drivers are helpful and courteous. We would like to offer our thanks for getting us where we want and need to go. We look forward to the time when Citylink extends its route further up Center Street in Auburn.
The bus services provide a valuable service to us, which allows us to remain independent, and makes it possible for us to stay in our apartments for a very long time.
Those people who do not yet need to use the bus services may want to give them a try, then they will be as grateful as we are.
