The African Children’s Choir, a voice for millions of children suffering in Africa, will bring its world-renowned blend of singing, dancing and storytelling to Trinity United Methodist Church in Farmington at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27. The choir, acclaimed not only for its performances but for its message of hope and joy, is made up of 26 children ages 7-10 selected from countries with the greatest need, including Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria. Most have lost one or both parents to poverty and disease. Their program features well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and contemporary tunes. There is no admission though free-will offerings will be accepted. No reserved seating. For more information, call the church at 778-3651.
