JEFFERSON – National recording artist Holly Rae will make two appearances Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24, at the Maine Academy of Country Music’s Country Music Weekend at the Broken Acres Festival Grounds.

Also scheduled to perform are Bob Elston, Slim Andrews, Otto Proctor Jr., Brenda Millett, Mark Parlin, Cleo and Donna Alley, Lefty Dean, Jared Alley, Chris Fyfe, Fred Couverette, The Freedom Riders, and Fred and Pat Thompson.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. each day, with entertainment beginning at 1 p.m. An auction featuring baked goods and other donated items will be held at noon Saturday, and Jackie King will perform gospel songs at 11 a.m., Sunday.

There is free camping in the ruff (early arrivals are welcome), rest rooms, a sheltered pavilion, a dance floor and picnic tables, or bring your own seating. Broken Acres Snack Shack and the MACM mobile store will be open both days.

Admission is $8 per day for MACM members, $10 for the general public. Broken Acres Festival Grounds is at 160 Valley Road.
