WILTON – Three Wilton police officers have been searching for a missing youth for more than a week, police Chief Dennis Brown said Monday.

Blaine Berube, 15, of Wilton was last seen fishing in East Wilton on Aug. 9 around noon, he said. Berube is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who has seen the youth is asked to contact Wilton police at 645-4222.

Residents have already provided numerous tips and each one has been checked on, Brown said. The tips have police actively searching across Maine and in Florida as well as working with other agencies, he said.

Berube has been listed on a nationwide network for missing people, he added.
