I must respond to the recent column by Rep. Mike Vaughn. (Aug. 17)

As his constituent, I have e-mailed, phoned, left messages and written letters to him on a variety of subjects and concerns, many times only to inquire his thoughts or voting record on a given subject. I have never received a response in any way, shape or form!

I found it ironic he is now dismayed at Congress’ inaction and lack of accountability to its constituents. It sounded like the pot calling the kettle black. People should be aware, in this election year, of the availability of who they elect to their constituency, and perhaps of any hypocrisy.
