AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston is offering an ARC Lifeguard Certification Course to be held a few nights a week from Aug. 26 to Sept. 18 from approximately 6 to 10 p.m. each night.

There are several prerequisites for this course, including a 300-yard swim, and participants must be at least age 15 before the last scheduled class session. Upon completion of the course the lifeguarding/first aid are valid for three years, and the CPR expires after one year.
