Police say the woman was hit by a Connecticut Southern Rail train late Wednesday night on the tracks behind the New England Dodge Music Center in the North Meadows section of the city.

She died Thursday afternoon.
Hartford police have not released her identity. They said a man believed to be a relative was driving down from New Hampshire to make a positive identification.
