LEWISTON – Tena Frances Damon died Monday, Aug. 25, in Lewiston.

She was born in Buckfield, Feb. 15, 1942, the daughter of Barbara (Gesner) and Stanley Damon. Her father was killed during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge.

She resided in Buckfield until the age of four. Her mother and stepfather, Omar A. Goding raised her in Auburn. After graduating from Edward Little High School in 1962, she furthered her education at the Vesper George Art School in Boston.

Her love of the Red Sox grew while living in Boston and attending many home games with her friends.

She was employed at Pioneer Plastics in Auburn and Don’s Photography in Derry, N.H. She attended the South Auburn Baptist Church.

She enjoyed being with friends and family, especially time spent at the family’s camp in Oxford. She attended every Damon or Gesner family reunion she could. She spent many years caring for the youngsters in the neighborhood, especially her niece and nephew.

She devoted herself to the care of her mother, when Barbara was battling cancer. She enjoyed nature and family through her art and photographic talents.

She is survived by her half brother, Gerald Goding and wife, Ruth; her nephew, Matthew Goding and wife, Cheryl; her niece, Carin Lenardis and husband, George; three dearly loved nephews, Peter and Christopher Lenardis and Josiah Goding; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
