RUMFORD – Gauthama Thompson, a doctor of chiropractic, is now licensed to practice acupuncture after completing an 18-month, 400-hour acupuncture course. Thompson practices at River Valley Chiropractic.

The goal of acupuncture is to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body. Thompson will also incorporate the use of Chinese herbal formulas that have been used for thousands of years to treat and support the human body.

Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in anatomy and physiology from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, and his doctor of chiropractic also from Logan College. He is a chiropractic diplomat in the specialties of sports injuries and chiropractic acupuncture.
