AUBURN – Auburn-Lewiston YMCA announces that registration for the 2008 Field Hockey program begins Sept. 2. Registration may be completed at the front desk.

The program runs from Saturday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Oct. 18 at Auburn Middle School. Athletes are broken up into three divisions: Pee Wee, grades 1-2; Junior, grades 3-4; and Intermediate, grades 5-8. Practices start at 9 a.m. and run until 10 a.m. for the Pee Wee Division and 11:00 a.m. for the Junior and Intermediate Divisions. Participants will receive the fundamentals of field hockey through a combination of skills, drills and scrimmages.

Players must provide their own stick, shin guards and mouthpiece. Everyone will receive a certificate and a YMCA Field Hockey T-shirt for participating in the program.
