LEWISTON – Joan E. Cox-Lewis, 75, of Minot Avenue, Auburn, passed away on Aug. 31, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1932, in Auburn, the daughter of Southard and Rose (Pitre) Philbrick.
She enjoyed cribbage, beano, sporting events and especially time spent with her grandchildren.
She worked for San Antonio Shoe as a supervisor and Striderite Shoe also as a supervisor.
She is survived by her daughters, Rose Bowen and husband, William, of Durham and Sharon Morin and husband, Roger, of Sabattus; sons, Alan Cox of Minot, Daniel Cox and wife, Amy, of Oxford, John Cox and companion, Kristin, of Florida, and Edward Cox of Minot; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and former husband, Charles Cox of Lisbon.
She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Norman Lewis.
