MEXICO – The following incidents were handled during the past week by the Mexico Police Department.
Arrest
• Adam Gallant, 22, Riverside Drive, Mexico, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, 6:28 a.m. Aug. 30. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on unsecured bail, and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 8.
Accident
Vehicles driven by Jeffrey A. Gardner, 40, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and Timothy W. Tyler, 50, of Ellis River Road, Rumford, collided at the intersection of Veterans Bridge and River Road at 9:35 a.m. Sept. 1. Gardner’s 2004 Toyota sustained $2,500 damage. Tyler’s 2004 Ford pickup truck was not damaged.
Theft
A Roxbury Road resident reported the theft of a .22-caliber derringer pistol at 6:53 p.m. Aug. 29. It was valued at $150.
Vandalism
A Whitman Street resident reported at 7:32 p.m. Aug. 30 that a tire on his vehicle that was parked in his driveway was slashed the night before. The tire was valued at $100.
