JAY – The condition of a woman struck by a dump truck at the Verso Paper Mill yard last Friday was upgraded from critical to fair on Tuesday.

Tina Dolloff, 37, an employee of SW&B Construction Co. of Auburn had been listed in critical condition Friday night at Central Maine Medical Center after her leg had been run over by the truck about 10 a.m. that morning. A nursing supervisor said Dolloff was in fair condition Tuesday.

Verso Paper truck driver Paul Despres, 50, of Jay was turning right in preparation to back up beside another truck and did not see Dolloff walking in front of the truck, Jay police have said.

Dolloff suffered injuries to her foot, leg and hip, police said.
