PORTLAND – PICNIC LLC will present the first PICNIC Music + Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in Lincoln Park at Congress Street and Franklin Arterial. Admission is free.

The festival featuring 70 emerging artists from the DIY indie craft scene and music by some of the best indie acts in the city, will go on rain or shine.

Crafters and artists will sell handmade products in a variety of materials. Shoppers can expect clothing, jewelry, prints, accessories, bags, plush, paper goods, photography, housewares and fine art, as well as vintage goods, bicycles, vinyl records, collectibles and funky antiques.

Among the participating artists are Swallowfield, Manta Ray Business Solutions, ellO Gallery, Port2Port Press, Bobbin, Field, Mildred and Eli Phant.

Performing musical groups will include Bird in the Rafters, Dead End Armory, Brenda, Huak, Metal Feathers, Confusatron, Cougars Kill Cobras, Honey Clouds and the Rattlesnakes.
