LEWISTON – Maine Women’s Fund will kick off its first year of programming in the Lewiston-Auburn area with a get-to-know-us party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. It will be held at St. Mary’s Nutrition Center of Maine at Bates and Walnut streets with light refreshments provided.

The program will include opportunities to learn about the Maine Women’s Fund major initiatives and programming; network with other women; and get involved with the fund. Its programs engage and enrich women at every stage of life, encouraging confident strides, supporting emerging leaders, and creating lasting change that improves communities and the world for generations to come.

The Maine Women’s Fund is a grant-making organization that has invested more than $1.4 million in Maine women since its inception in 1981.
