AUBURN – Marilyn P. Kelley, 71, of Lewiston went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with family by her side, after a courageous battle against cancer.
She was brought up in Melrose, Mass., and graduated from Melrose High School. She had many great memories, family and friends there. She met the love of her life, Gerald Kelley, and together they raised their six children who were all born and raised in Melrose. She was a stay-at-home mother and gave so much of herself.
In 1985, they moved to Lewiston due to her husband’s job transfer. In Maine, she made new friends and created many new memories. She enjoyed her jobs at Liberty Mutual and Lee Auto Group.
Her hobbies she enjoyed were gardening, birds, playing games on the computer, watching black and white movies, Sunday rides that lasted all day, and of course bingo. She was a giving, caring person and she will be missed dearly.
