PORTLAND (AP) – Gasoline prices in Maine continue to fall with the start of the new work week.

According to AAA, which tracks prices nationwide, a gallon of regular on Monday was averaging $3.65 in Maine, down more than a penny from a day earlier and 20 cents cheaper than a month ago.

Nationally, gas averaged $3.66 a gallon, down from $3.83 a month ago.

The price of gas in Maine is still 84 cents a gallon higher than year ago.
