OLD ORCHARD BEACH (AP) – A grand jury has indicted two New York men on murder charges in the slaying of an Old Orchard Beach man at his home in June.
A York County grand jury returned indictments against Rennie Cassimy and Jeffrey Williams in the death of 45-year-old Winston George, who was found dead at his home on June 20.
Williams is George’s brother-in-law, while Cassimy rented an apartment from George’s family in New York.
Police have not said how or why George was killed. But a statement inadvertently released this summer by the U.S. Marshal’s Service said George was bound with a bag over his head and had a bottle of rum forced down his throat when he was found in his home.
