Incident Report Statistics

Between Monday, Sept. 1, at 12 a.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 a.m., patrol officers responded to 70 motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

On Sept. 3 at 2:25 a.m., report of two windows valued at approximately $350 and a side mirror on a vehicle being smashed by two unknown males on Oxford Avenue.

Operating After Suspension arrests

On Sept. 1 at 3:45 p.m., Jason Buotte, 25, of Rumford was charged with operating after suspension after a motor vehicle stop for an inspection violation.

On Sept. 4 at 11:15 p.m., Judy Taylor, 37, of Mexico was charged with operating after suspension after a stop for an inspection violation.

Possession of Alcohol by Minor

On Sept. 3 at 9:35 p.m., a 17-year-old female from Mexico was charged with illegal possession after observed by a patrol officer.

Thefts

On Sept. 1 at 3:10 p.m., Rumford resident had $420 stolen by a passenger in her car while in a store. Suspect returned $400 and will repay $20. No charges.

On Sept. 2 at 5:06 p.m., a Spruce Street resident reporting theft of a gas can with gas and theft of gas from a mower. Unknown amount of theft.

On Sept. 3 at 12:42 p.m., a Franklin Street resident reported theft of a gas can with gas and theft of gas from a mower. Unknown amount of theft.

On Sept. 4 at 4:30 a.m., Jeremy Cowin, 27, of Dixfield was charged with theft (shoplifting) and violation of conditions of release after beer was stolen from a Rumford business on Bridge Street.

On Sept. 4 at 8:53 a.m., a Waldo Street resident repored a theft of $230 worth of miscellaneous household items.

On Sept. 4 at 3:55 p.m., a Route 2 business reported a $86 gas drive-off.

Violating Conditions of Release

On Sept. 5 at 8:30 p.m., Brandon Windover, 34, of Rumford was summonsed for violating his conditions of release relating to alcohol.

Warrant Arrests

On Sept. 5 at 12:46 p.m., Erik Bernard, 46, of Rumford was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for burglary. He was released after posting $500 cash bail.

On Sept. 6 at 3:05 a.m., Eric Austin, 32, of Rumford was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for criminal mischief. He was released after posting $350 cash bail.
