The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to present another great Business Lunch and Learn opportunity. This month’s topic is, “Do You Own Your Business or Does Your Business Own You?” The seminar will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the River Valley Technology Center on 60 Lowell Street, Rumford, Maine. The cost is $10 and includes your lunch. River Valley Chamber of Commerce members pays only $8. Pre-payment is required; there will be no refunds issued. Pre-registration is required by calling Lorraine at 207-369-0396 or e-mail lorraine@rvgc.org by September 15. Explore the question, “Do you own your business or does your business own you?” and discuss the difference between being the “chief DOER” and being a true “business OWNER.” As the most important employee or “chief doer,” you are constantly busy (50, 60, even 70 hours each week) doing the work of your business. A true business owner is able to spend time planning and developing the company into a predictable source of revenue and joy. If you haven’t taken a vacation for fear of what will happen when you are gone, perhaps it is time to run your business a bit differently. The presenter is Kurk Lalemand, Licensed Professional Business Coach from NEXT Level Business Coaching. The Lunch and Learn Seminars purpose is to provide information to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing businesses in an affordable way. Anyone can gather resources and information for long-term success. In addition, the seminars are intended to facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.
