Dear Sun Spots: Could you please tell me if the last four quarters in the series are in circulation? I haven’t come across them anywhere. Thank you for your time and help. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: According to the U.S. Mint, the last five quarters in the 50 State Quarters Program will be released this year. Oklahoma was released on Jan. 28, 2008; New Mexico was released April 7, 2008, and the current quarter in circulation is Arizona, released June 2, 2008. After a coin’s release, it takes about two to three weeks for it to appear in circulation. The Alaska quarter was available to purchase in rolls Aug. 29, 2008. You should start seeing it in circulation in the next few weeks. Hawaii’s quarter, the last coin in the 50 State Quarters Program, will be released later this year.

Dear Sun Spots: I plan on going to the NASCAR race in September and camping for the week. I sell crafts and other things and I was wondering if I could set up a table to sell from my campsite. Would this be allowed? If so, would I need any permits, etc. Thank you – No Name, No Town.

Answer: A spokesperson from the New Hampshire Motor Speedway said that setting up a table at your campsite is not allowed. If you would like to sell items, you will have to set up with the other vendors at the speedway. For more information on that process, contact the speedway at (603) 783-4744 and they’ll be happy to assist you.
