TURNER – Joe Armstrong, state director of the Order of the Silver Rose, will address the American Legion Turner Memorial Post 111 meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, in the Leavitt Institute Building Community Room.

The Order of the Silver Rose is the only national organization congressionally chartered and dedicated to Agent Orange-affected Vietnam era veterans and their families. The Silver Rose is a nonprofit corporation.

Armstrong will speak on the 43 cancers and sicknesses the Veterans Administration has approved for compensation and those cancers not paid for.

He will also explain the purposes and goals of the Order of the Silver Rose and present a documentary.
