LEWISTON – U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., will deliver the keynote address at the Maine Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Lewiston Armory.

Dodd has a long history of public service, including time in the Peace Corps and the Army National Guard. He currently serves as the chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

“We are honored that Sen. Dodd, one of the nation’s most respected voices on economic issues, will join us in Lewiston,” said Arden Manning, executive director of the Maine Democratic Party.

Past speakers at the event have included Vice President Al Gore, President Bill Clinton and Sen. George Mitchell.
