LEWISTON – Gloria C. Asselin, 80, a resident of Auburn, died Friday, Sept. 12.

She was born on July 20, 1928, in Auburn, daughter of the late George and Adrienne (Lemieux) Cote.

She attended St. Louis School and graduated from Edward Little High School. On Jan. 28, 1950, she married Ralph Asselin. She worked for many years at Ward Brothers in Lewiston. She was a member of St. Louis Church and the New Auburn Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cooking, gardening, traveling and weekends at the camp.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Asselin; a sister, Gabriel Provencher and husband, Bertrand; a brother, Richard Cote; daughters, Sherry Morneau and her husband, Louis, Donna St. Pierre and her husband, Eugene; a son, Gary Asselin; grandchildren, Lori Bolduc, Scott Morneau, Amy and Tony St. Pierre; and great-grandchildren, Lindsey Bolduc, Brayden Morneau and Isaiah Paradis.

She was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude; and brother, Roger.

Mom, we will always remember your beautiful smile, kind heart, caring soul, and the love that you had for all of us.

You will always be in our hearts forever. You will be missed by many people. The memories and your soul will be with us forever. We will meet up with you again in the end.
