LEWISTON – Gerard O. Lambert, 86, of the Sarah Frye House, Auburn, went to be with the Lord, unexpectedly, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.

Gerard was a mechanic for Louis Chevrolet for many years. He enjoyed fairs, gardening, farming and spending many hours in his maple sugar shack. He also enjoyed agriculture and the outdoors.

Gerard was a member of the Civil Conservation Camp during World War II.

He was married to his beloved wife of 65 years, Doria Faucher, on May 22, 1943, in Lewiston.

He is survived by his wife, Doria Lambert, of Auburn; sons, Daniel Lambert and wife, Salome, of Georgia, Paul Lambert of Lewiston, and Ronald Lambert of Greene; daughters, Ann Foss and husband, Norman, of Farmington, and Diane Morton and husband, Arthur, of Greene; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Dennison and husband, Ed, of Florida; brother-in-law Albert Strong; two sisters-in-law, Constance Lambert, and Solange Lambert; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerard was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.

He will be greatly missed by his family.
