MONMOUTH – Funeral services for Nelson R. Rose were held Friday at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home in Monmouth. The Revs. Carl Geores Jr. and George Hardy officiated at the service.

Special memories were shared by Linda Lee, and memories written by his daughter, Melody Sawyer, were read by his granddaughter, Anna Langlin. Military honors were performed by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program out of the Augusta Armory. Billy Moore honored his grandfather by carrying his urn to the hearse. Interment was at the Leeds Plains Cemetery. A reception for family and friends was held at the Leeds Community Church after the service.
