Between Wednesday, Sept. 3, to Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 7 a.m. this department has responded to 918 calls for service. Of those calls, 284 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked at the Oak Street garage had its tires slashed overnight Sept. 11-12.

A vehicle parked at 17 Horton St. had two tires slashed overnight Sept. 10-11.

The CMMC parking garage was tagged on the Holland Street side sometime overnight Sept. 6-7.

A vehicle parked at 179 College St. had its tires slashed overnight Sept. 10-11.

A window at Freihofer’s Bakery at 24 Landry Road was broken out overnight Sept. 8-9.

A vehicle parked at 730 Main St. was keyed sometime between Sept. 6-8.

A vehicle parked at D’youville Pavillion at 102 Campus Ave. had its rear tire slashed overnight Aug. 29-30.

A residence at 184 Highland Ave. had a window screen to a second floor bathroom damaged between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3 in an apparent attempted burglary.

Sheet Metal Workers Local 17 at 19 Enterprise St. was tagged with graffiti overnight Sept. 4-5.

Two trucks parked at New England Home Therapies at 21 Westminster St. had their fuel lines cut in order to steal gasoline on two different occasions. The first incident occurred overnight Sept. 2-3 and the second was overnight Sept. 4-5.

A vehicle parked at 91 Horton St. had tires slashed overnight Sept. 10-11.

A vehicle parked at 65 Horton St. had several tires slashed overnight Sept. 10-11.

Thefts

A Dell computer tower was stolen from Central Maine Medical Center sometime between Aug. 2 and Sept. 8.

A blue Mirraco BMX bike was stolen from outside of 78 Oak St. on Sept. 7 between 1 and 3:30 p.m.

A purse was stolen from the Lewiston Middle School prior to 7 p.m. on Sept. 11

A bicycle was stolen from the Lewiston Middle School prior to 8 p.m. on Sept. 11.

A 27 speed black and charcoal Tri Cross bike worth $1,300 was stolen from Chase Hall at Bates College prior to 3 p.m. on Sept. 11.

A LCD projector was stolen from a classroom at Pettengill Hall at Bates College between 4 p.m. on Sept. 10 and 1 p.m. on Sept. 11.

A backpack was stolen from outside of the Alumni Gym shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 8. It was black and blue in color and contained a Macintosh laptop.

A light blue Northface jacket was stolen from a room at Smith Hall at 160 North Bardwell St. during the late evening hours on Sept. 6.

A company vehicle at Lewiston Veteran Center had its gas lines cut and gas stolen sometime overnight Sept. 10-11.

An orange and black colored BMS style trick bike was stolen from a garage at 11 Ames Ave. on Sept. 7 during the daytime. The suspects were four black males approx. 14 years old.

A red and black bicycle was stolen from 5 Noble St. overnight Sept. 3-4.

The resident of 30 Dove Lane is complaining that neighborhood children are stealing the pears from her pear tree.

A Pacifica mountain bike was stolen from the backyard of 111 Horton St. sometime overnight Sept. 3-4.

A garage at 268 Lincoln St. had a blue and silver Huffy bicycle and a red mountain bike stolen from inside of it overnight Sept. 10-11.

Burglaries

An apartment at 40 Blake St. was burglarized prior to 10 p.m. on Sept. 11, a TV and radio were taken from inside.

An apartment at 115 Summer St. was burglarized over the weekend Sept. 5-8, cash was taken from inside.

An apartment at 119 Horton St. was burglarized between 8 and 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 4, entry was gained through a bedroom window. A Dell Inspiron laptop and some Rx meds were stolen.

Michael Hatch, 21, of 878 Minot Ave., and Troy Bradley, 19, have been charged with the Pine Tree Trading burglary and 13 of the 14 guns which had been stolen have been accounted for. Several of the guns were tossed into the river after an accomplice who was 16 years of age was told to get rid of them.

Motor Vehicle Burglaries

A vehicle parked in the High St. lot at CMMC was burglarized between 3 and 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 3; a wallet was stolen from inside.

A vehicle parked at the Lewiston Armory at 65 Central Ave. was burglarized and had property taken from inside prior to 8 p.m. on Sept. 11.

An unlocked vehicle parked at 27 Tampa St. was burglarized overnight Sept. 6-7; an engagement ring and wedding ring were taken from inside.

A vehicle parked at 172 Webber Ave. was burglarized overnight Sept. 8-9; a stereo was taken from inside.

A vehicle parked at 225 Webster St. was burglarized overnight Sept. 3-4; the vehicle was unlocked and CDs were stolen. Also, two bright yellow Huffy bicycles were stolen from the same residence.

Operating Under the Influence Arrests

Heather Martineau, 22, was charged with operating under the influence on Sept. 5 at 12:07 a.m. at Farwell and Russell streets following a routine traffic stop.

Operating After Suspension Arrest

Yunis Mohamud, 20, was charged with failing to obtain a driver’s license, failure to give a correct name or date of birth, and refusing to sign a summons on Sept. 7 at 6:33 a.m. at Main and Holland streets following a routine traffic stop.

John Wesley, 23, was charged with operating while license suspended on Sept. 7 at 12:03 a.m. at Ash and Bates streets following a routine traffic stop.

Abdirashid Yerow, 19, was charged with operating a vehicle without a license on Sept. 7 at 11:03 p.m. at Spruce and Park streets following a routine traffic stop.

Christopher Hanson, 36, was charged with operating after suspension on Sept. 4 at 1:27 a.m. at 760 Main St. following a routine traffic stop.
