Thursday, Sept. 18, Rick Weaver and the Ruined Frame of Baltimore, Md., will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. Weaver estblished Ruined Frame in 2005 as an umbrella for his musical and visual endeavors. It is a surreal/real rock band consistently undergoing reconstruction. The Ruined Frame Quintet is the most recent incarnation, joined by multi-instrumentalist Ari Schenck and percussionist Brian Litz. The quintet uses guitars, vocals, percussion, synthesizers, Rhodes piano, harmonica, saxophone and violin. Weaver has begun recording a solo record titled “Three Red Lights” and has reappeared under the name Ruined Frame in a new solo form. The addition of drums and mouth instruments to his guitar and vocal interplay adds a fuller, looser and rougher taste to his body of songs. The show will begin at 8 p.m. There is no cover. The restaurant/cafe is at 115 Middle St. For more information, call 376-3344 or visit myspace.com/guthriesplace.
