JEFFERSON, N.H. (AP) – Two bicyclists from Maine are hospitalized after being struck by a New Hampshire state trooper in Jefferson.
Police say the father and son from Orono, Maine, were hit from behind when the cruiser drifted into the breakdown lane on Route 115 Thursday morning.
Fifty-seven-year-old David Clement and 25-year-old Timothy Clement were taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The hospital says David Clement is in serious condition. Timothy Clement was listed in satisfactory condition.
Police say State Police Sgt. Todd Cohen was escorting modular prison cells headed for the Berlin prison. He was not hurt.
