I chose to volunteer for Barack Obama’s Campaign for Change because I’m ready for a fresh approach to politics in the White House. The issues most important to me are foreign policy and the economy. For the past eight years, our government has been deteriorating its global relations. In this era of globalization, our government should not approach foreign relations as a zero-sum game, but as a cooperative effort to improve living standards for everyone.
Obama will improve our relations abroad.
It is essential we recover from the current recession. Obama has committed to cutting taxes for the middle-class, who need it the most. We are spending billions in Iraq, while our schools, roads, and hospitals lack adequate funding.
Obama understands we must balance our budget, and by bringing the troops home, he can spend federal tax dollars on what Americans use and need every day.
