SOUTH PARIS – The wedding of Katie Jule Maxfield and Timothy Scott Huggins was held at 2 p.m., May 31, at the South Paris Baptist Church. The Rev. Norman Jackson officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Huggins is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Maxfield of Norway. Mr. Huggins is the son of Beverly Cobb of Otisfield and George Freeman Huggins Jr. of Lynn, Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an off-white two-piece chiffon gown with flowing train and fingertip veil. Her gown consisted of red and clear bead work on the bodice and skirt and she carried a bouquet of white and cranberry Calla lilies mixed with lilies of the valley.

Laura Nichols, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Richards, friend of the bride and Karen Allen, cousin of the bride. Sofie Johnson, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Doug Grant, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Ray Files Jr. and James Lavertu, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was daughter of the bride, Madeline Lee Huggins, who was escorted down the aisle by her uncle, Brian Nichols.

A reception followed at the Silver Spur Banquet Hall in Mechanic Falls, after which the couple went on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and Charleston Southern University. She is employed as a CNA/CRMA at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is employed as an automotive technician at Lee Auto Mall in Norway.
