This is in response to Clem Bechard’s letter (Sept. 10).
The truth about Gov. Sarah Palin is not pretty. Currently she is under investigation for using her position attempting to destroy her ex-brother-in-law Mike Wooten’s career.
Since becoming McCain’s running mate, Palin and her staff no longer cooperate with investigators, claiming executive privilege. Executive privilege is used by the Bush administration to cover up alleged crimes.
Palin states she’s against pork barrel projects, yet she hired a lobbyist to secure $27 million in funds for Wasilla. She has sought $750 million since becoming governor.
She supported the “bridge to nowhere” until it became unpopular.
No need for McCain to introduce Palin to Washington – she’s been there securing earmarked money.
She used the mayor’s office and city hall as campaign headquarters while campaigning for governor. Yet she accused Randy Ruedrich of an ethics breach for conducting GOP business on government time.
She asked privacy for her pregnant 17-year-old daughter, yet puts her daughter in the limelight to advance her political career. Acceptance of teen pregnancy sends the wrong message to teenagers about sex and sex education.
She claims Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are too big and expensive for taxpayers, though both are private companies. If the Iraq war were a mission for God, the U.S. would have won already and would not be in such a mess. I believe McCain and Palin are pathological liars, even when caught.
Exactly like the Bush administration.
