What does “pro-life” mean to political extremists? Can you be pro-life and support the National Rifle Association, as people shoot each other dead in the heat of gang wars and domestic violence?

Can you be pro-life and continue to send U.S. soldiers and Marines to die in a senseless war? Can you be pro-life and ignore the tears of an Iraqi orphan or an American whose loved one has died needlessly abroad?

We all acknowledge the tragedy of a fetus who is deprived of the right to take a breath of air. But why is the life of an adult of less value than a fetus?

I believe the right to bear arms in our Constitution refers to a militia, not an out-of-control individual who wishes to solve life’s problems with bullets. Our Constitution also guarantees all of us (including soldiers) the right to life. Not just fetuses. It is appalling that those who aspire to lead this great nation are disgracing our Constitution.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are trying to dazzle the voters into electing them with chants of USA! USA! USA!

At the same time, they are juggling the Bible, the American flag and rifles!

I fear the future of our country if they are elected.
