BELMONT, N.H. (AP) – The water has gone down enough on one New Hampshire lake to allow boaters to speed up again.

Because of heavy rain, the state Marine Patrol had issued a no-wake order last week for Silver Lake, which is in Belmont and Tilton. The order is required by law whenever the water reaches 467 feet above sea level.

By Sunday, the water was a few inches lower than that, so the order was lifted.
