Church service

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, Paris, invites all children to Sunday School at 9 a.m. and all adults to worship service at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

Bible Study of the book of John will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, followed by coffee and refreshments.

Honor educators

BOLSTERS MILLS – The Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church invites educators and mentors to attend a celebratory service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.

The service will be dedicated to all people who have touched the lives of others with wisdom and compassion. The special service will be held at the church on Bolsters Mills Road in Harrison..

Scout meeting

OTISFIELD – Girl Scouts of Maine will hold a parent information and registration meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Spurr’s Corner Church.

Girl Scouts of Maine serves more than 14,000 girls ages 5 to 17 statewide. Those attending will learn about the Girl Scouting opportunities available in the community.

The registration fee to become a member of Girl Scouts is $10, payable by check. Financial assistance is available.

Girl Scouts of Maine also has many volunteer options for adults.

Fall flotilla

NEWRY – A Fabulous Fall Foliage Flotilla will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, on the Lower Magalloway River, Androscoggin River and Lake Umbagog.

Participants need to bring their own canoe or kayak, a personal floatation device and lunch.

WEST PARIS – A flea market and craft fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the West Paris Grange Hall, Church Street. It will include a flea market, crafts and bake sales and luncheon. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. For table rental, call 674-3241. It is being sponsored by the West Paris Grange.

Bridge play

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 19 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a four-table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in Flight A were Richard Balian and Woody Mercier; second, Nancy Farmer and Errol Libby; third, Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens, who also were first in Flight B. Second in Flight B were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.
